Here's a website that shows who has what powders (and primers and bullets and ammo) in stock. Make sure the view in-in stock only box is checked.

Check out powdervalleyinc.com
I find that I usually get the best prices, and very good inventory (when I need it) at Natchez Shooters Supply. I notice that the first bot site doesn't include Natchez in their search.
Here's another search engine web site for finding ammo, powder, primers, etc. This site includes Natchez.

Natchez is one of the sites I frequent, they don't have what I'm looking for. I'll check out the first link. Thanks.
Rats, that site doesn't show anybody with HP 38, which is what I want, either.
But thanks for the link. I bookmarked it. But for some reason Natchez does NOT seem to ship to Alabama, not real sure why.

I'm guessing it's something to do with sales tax, since the states touch each other. I did try to order something from them once, wasn't even ammo. When it came to states it was a drop down menu, and Alabama wasn't one of the states. Only way to put the state in was to click on the state, couldn't just type it in.
From their website....Really, a Tennessee company won't even ship something to anybody in their own state?Shipping is not available for Tennessee, Georgia or Alabama.
I just got two pounds of HP38 from Lohman Arms.
Course took them a month and a half to fill the order.
Wideners had 8 pound jugs of Red Dot. Plus I just got 5 pounds of Blue Dot from Steve's Wholesale Ltd.
I've never used any Alliant powders, are they pretty good compared to hodgedon and IMR?
Ehhh, I prefer the Hodgdon, but Alliant works. Seems to shoot a little "dirtier" than the equivalent Hodgdon, More black stuff to clean out of the gun. But Blue Dot is excellent for 10mm and any magnum pistols, and Red Dot uses a lot less weight powder charges, so a bottle lasts lots longer. I love usig it for .38 special 148 grain DEWC loads for .38 special. Use like a whole 3 grains. Figured out once that a 8 pound jug would make me well over 18,666 rounds of the stuff.
Heh, I'm happy getting 1200 rounds of 40s&w out of a pound of WSF.
My favorite recipe for .40 cal S&W is a 185 grain bullet with 4.5 grains of HP38. A pound (Of which I just managed to snag two of by the way) would make me 1555 rounds.
So far I use 5.9-6.1gr of WSF for either 165gr copper plated or 170gr hard cast lead and it works pretty well. feels similar to factory loads when shooting them and theyre as accurate as can be expected from a 3" barreled compact pistol. The hard cast lead is a bit smokier than I would like though.
IS WSF a granular powder?
IS WSF a granular powder? Add Precision Bullets makes a nice 170 grain moly coated one, like my 185 grains.
It's more of a flake powder, but it still meters pretty well in my lee auto disk measure... +/-.1gr pretty consistently
I have used a lot of wsf. Was the first powder I used, and still use in in my 9mm. Very easy to work with. Was one of the few that I could get last winter.
