    Russian ammo shortage?

I heard at work that there is going to be a shortage of Russian ammo (Tula, wolf, brown bear, and surplus stuff) due to the current situation over there... After giving it some thought I could see how it would be very plausible. Anyone else want to weight in here?

My gunsmith says that it isn't likely. And if they do, they would sell it to other countries and we could buy it from them.

Besides I always see crates and crates of it at gun shows. We have large stocks of it already here. But I but the price would go up!

I have reloaded all my own 7.62X39 and 7.62X54R FOREVER. Have never bought a single factory round, from anywhere.
Shortage? I know not of what you speak.
Do yourself a favor, and invest in some reloadable brass cases, and reload the heck out of it.

btw, I even CAST my own bullets for those two chamberings. I'll never run out or worry what is at the store.

I was just asking out of curiosity, I don't own anything in either of the chamberings you mentioned and I also reload all of my own that I do shoot, so I'm personally not worried.

Too bad, methinks I just traded some boxer 7.64X54R cases.

But since I have 14 Mosin Nagants, like 3 1/2 spam cams of milsurp, and am dying to get to about 600 brand new Lapua cases I bought and already reloaded, and the fact I do not like the Winchester brass I have a ton of, more may be soon available.

Also have a Winchester 95 factory chambered in 7.62X54R. Next range trip SHE'S going out!

There may be alot of 7.62x54r spam cans of ammo already here. But every supplier I buy it from are out of stock. They may be sitting on it until the panic hits and the price goes up. I have a couple of mosin nagants I shoot, but I use most of it for components for my 303`s and 7.7

Take a look at ammoseek. None . No surplus 7.62x54r 440 tins. Usually everyone has it.

    Corrosive, berdan primed, non-reloadable?

Waste of money, in my opinion.

Thank you for the link. Its been a while since Ilooked at them. But, Aim is taking pre orders and the others have already raised the price 20 to 30 dollars per tin. Just last month I purchased a tin from sgammo 100.95 to my door.

Thank Obozo for that, not the Russians!
