I found this odd cartridge at my shooting range a few years ago. This is a 9.63 Lazzeroni Saturn. It is still alive as far as I know. I just keep it on a shelf to stare at.

I don't want to take it apart to disarm it because I would never get it back together. Showing it off is scary because so many people have no idea how to handle live ammunition.

Found this 7.62x51 on a Ft. Hood anti-tank range a few years ago, still don't have a positive ID. HS: LC 68 nato. Does not have violent ejector, extractor, or firing pin indention in primer as if it had been fired in M60. Hole size in shoulder = #40 drill bit. Anybody seen one of these?347348349

Would be nice to see head stamp end (case head), but best guess is M172 Dummy round, usually linked, used to test machine gun function. They were typically painted black, and had no primer flash hole. Everything that could be done to keep such a case from firing was. Here's a link to other 7.62 variations:
