Been a few weeks trying to trade or sell my Sig Sauer P250 that shot 3 calibers, 9mm, .40 Cal., and 357 SIG. I just never could like the DA on ly action it had. Anyways in about 10 minutes on Armslist today I traded it straight up for a Sabre Defence SA-15. It came with 4 30 round mags, 4 I think they are 20 round mags, a soft case, a bipod, and a crappile of ammo. Met the guy at the gunshow parking lot in Mobile today and the deal was done. Then I walked into the gun show to see if there were any goodies in there. (Only thing I ended up buying was 1000 Winchester Large Pistol Primers)
Now I personally get to check out the AR Vs. AK scene since I already own a Saiga AK type action .223. High bar for the AR, that Saiga is pretty darned accurate!

Not shown, the black nylon soft case....

Let's put it this way. It does NOT like steel cased poly covered ammo. It doesn't seem to care much about older semi tarnished brass ammo. But that was the ammo he supplied with it. When I went to my nice nickel plated reloads, it only had 1 misfeed. And, those reloads is what I was using to shoot the pictured target with. Plus I recovered EVERY single one of them nickel reloads. They just show up so much better than the old brass always laying around on the ground. I really haven't shot any shiny brass loads in it yet.

Somebody talk to me about 300 blackout. Do I just need a new upper to shoot it?

Yes, you can use your current .223/5.56 magazines and bcg.

maybe in a bit of time i can trade you a pile of 300 blackouts, for?
someone around here loves to shoot it, but does not pick up. only shoots a mag (Ca restricted 10 rounds) or so. but still more for me.

Ah, but first I would have to come up with the scratch for that new upper. Remember I got this with no money exchanging hands.
Just ordered the top rail detachable handle/rear sight/scope rail, and a new 6X24 scope to put on her.

All you really need to convert a 5.56 AR to 300 Blackout is a new barrel in 300 and a barrel wrench.

Depending on how many rounds went through the AR as a 223, I would look at changing the bolt only as they do become mated to the first barrel. You don't have to do it but if it was me I would.
