Dave,
I'm not into the 577 Snyder but my father-in-law's son is and I find discussions with both of them quite intriguing.
Over the holidays during visits I awarded them with a set of 460 or 480 Ruger dies for which I had no use.
I'm told that a 28 ga. brass shotshell trimmed and necked with these dies will permit loading and fireforming the 577 Snyder
A lot of places show out of stock but here's a place that's got 'em: https://www.precisionreloading.com/cart.php#!l=MAG&i=SBR28
The conversations with these guys touched on a lot of topics. I could be confusing this process with the .577/450 Martini–Henry, so take this with a grain of salt.
Good luck in your endeavors

Thanks for the info Jimmy.
I think you must mean the dies you mentioned are for reloading the 577/450. The neck dia. on the 577 is .602. I can't see how a 460 or 480 die would work considering the base diameter is only .504 for the 480 and .478 for the 460.
I know that there is new 577 brass available but at the prices they are asking, I was hoping to find a trade. I don't really want to use shotgun hulls to fire the old girl. I have 28 ga. hulls I could use but I prefer having the correct head-stamp for my old rifles. That's just me though.
I would very much appreciate it if you could ask your guys what bullet/ball they are using.
Thanks again,
Dave

sorry for the delay
I need to get back here more often
I've got feelers out for the bullet he uses in the process
I've got a feeling that he casts his own
He's quite resourceful
