I got a great deal on brass, so I figured I would convert what I could out of the box and keep the rest as 223. I sold 500 of it off to my brother, which pretty much paid for the brass, so the remainder is basically free with the exception of my time. And now I won't have to worry about blackout brass for quite some time.
I don't know if long shot would work in an AR or not, so I don't really want to chance it. The load with IMR4227 was significantly quieter than the loads I tried with lil'gun with a lot less felt recoil. And at 9.6gr I should be able to get over 700 rounds from a pound of powder.
