    Whoo Hoo!

On my bucket list I wanted to say I have been to every single state in the United States. Last year I made it to my 49th state when I flew out to Hawaii. I just got off the phone and confirmed my reservation for an Alaska cruise. This finalizes that item on my life's bucket list. From Seattle I get on board, and we go to Juneau, Skagway, Glacier Bay, Ketchikan, Victoria British Columbia, and back to Seattle.

Now what was the NEXT item on my list?

I'd love to go on an Alaskan cruise. What line are you going with?

Awesome, my last cruise (southern Caribbean) was with royal Caribbean, and previous cruises were with disney. I've never been on an unenjoyable cruise

Just found the VA scheduled me an appointment on a day in the middle of my cruise. Just sent them a message, uh-uh brother, reschedule that one!

Yeah, I only ended up in Idaho because we were at Yellowstone National Park. The car needed gas and I wanted to see if the Idaho gas stations were any cheaper than the tourist trap gas prices in Wyoming.

They weren't. But it counts, I was in the state. That was state #48.

I don't see myself ever going to California, so I guess I'll have to count my month there in '97 at Ft. Irwin as being there...

Hey, I count California as a state I have visited, even though I never ventured from Ft. Hunter Liggett the 2 weeks I was there.

I was saying I'll count it only because I see no reason ever to return there, except maybe to cruise in/out of one of the ports...

I think the northern part might be fun to visit, go see a giant redwood forest and drive through the trunk of a tree.

I count Pennsylvania though I only spent maybe 3-4 hours there. I drove up to see Gettysburg National Military Park (which was quite interesting to visit) while I was in Maryland for some training last year.

After 8 yrs in Uncle Sam's canoe club, I can't imagine paying to go to sea!! I've been to 49 also - missing AK. The aforementioned canoe club got me to HI for 4 weeks or so, other than that 20 yrs of driving a truck made me hit the first 48

Well, since I am an ex sailor, you might think I would have had enough of it. But it might be interesting to see what one is like where I am NOT working 1 watch in three.

Still missing a few states, but most of my career was spent overseas where I could meet new and interesting people (then kill them).
