    I have the same Lee Bench Primer....actually I have just about every hand primer you can name...but personally I think if you seat the primer with two fingers on the end of the lever...you can really feel the primer sliding in....I find I can use feel for the consistency AND I can also prime relatively fast. I use the progressive for pistol...but the Lee for most rifle.
