    sad

thought i found "gold"... well at least nickel.
    bunch of shiny 7.62X54R.
sad they are berdan primed, and just a short cleaning in corn cob and the shinny is all gone.
looked real good when picked up. but just all junk.
if the coating had been good might have converted then to boxer.
head stamp 7.62X54R MFS and what looks like a ("6"), (upside down U but squared off), ( a "3" with a long leged base going to the left).

I'vw heard of an MFS headstamp. MFS 2000 Inc. is a Hungarian ammunition manufacturer located in Sirok.[1][2] It was established in 1952 as Mátravidéki Fémművek (Matra Provincial Metal Works)[3] and began to produce ammunition for the civilian market in the late 1950s.
