New ram in old "C" press

Installed a new RCBS ram (model #10-9109) in my old Echo C-type press. I can now use modern shell holders rather than the screw on original ones. With the new ram came the pin to connect it to the lever linkage. One end of the pin had splines that are intended to keep the pin in place (I guess). However, those splines made putting that pin in very difficult. Luckily, I had a bench vise, because I had to use it to press the pin home. I put some anti-sieze on the pin, but I think it will take a lot of effort to get that pin out should someone desire to do that in the future.

How did you know that ram would fit your press?

On the MidwayUSA website someone commented on the ram, saying that it worked in his Echo C-type press. That was good enough for me to give it a try. Midway didn't have them in stock, so I got mine from Huntington's.

I love the reviews you get there and on other sites.
