    30 06 to .308 brass?

Anyone done this or seen a tutorial on utube? I have a load of 50s LC Match I want to cut down. There must be a start point for cutting off the case.

    TIA

It can be done, dunno bout YouTube videos on the subject. It's a bit of work though and the necks on cut downs tend to be pretty thick. Personally I think it's a better idea to trade what you have for good 308 brass.

    You can check here:

If you look around, you can find info on reforming brass about any way you like. I had found a page that had someone that talked about getting more complex and changing the head or adding brass to the end to lengthen the case. Good luck.

I was able to find the page that I was talking about before.

    http://www.castpics.net/subsite/Conv...0Reforming.pdf

This guy talks about some very extreme reforming. Most of what he is talking about would be more than you or I am looking to do, but he shows you how to plan it out in small steps and make it work.

Thanks. I just need a close cut off length I have reamers and some back ground. I will read the pages because you can never know everything or pass up good information.
