As the title says, I'm debating getting the bullet feed kit for 40cal. Already have the pro 1000 and like it a lot. Just wanting some input from someone that has one on their press.

I will not that at this time I AM NOT INTETESTED in changing over to another brand of equipment, so any replies toward such will be ignored.

Thanks in advance for your input.

I had one, and it seemed to work well. It was the primer feeder that kept messing up on the press that caused me to quit using it.

The only ones I prime on the press are pistol cases, rifle cases all get primed by hand...
I had a few issues with the primer feeder in the beginning but a couple tweaks and keeping at least 10 in the tray to provide downward pressure seemed to help.

I can add my negative review for the bullet feeder for the Pro 1000. In 9mm, it was CRAP. My buddy's .40 S&W version was no better.

We both got rid of the Lee Pro 1000 crap, and each upgraded to a Dillon 550b, never looking back.

As I said, im not interested in changing out the press at this time... Maybe in a few years.

Did you ever go for the bullet feeder? If so, how is it working for you?

Lol, yep, got one... Long story short, it sucks ;)

I load quicker and more accurately by placing the bullets by hand... Chock this one up to a learning experience. Though overall I do love the pro1000 press.

I looked at the 1000 and the loadmaster. In the end, I couldn't get past the mixed reviews. Glad you are happy with the press.

I had debated getting the loadmaster, but figured I'd opt for the cheaper pro1000, I might get a loadmaster down the road though.
